obs_description      = The Leiden/Argentine/Bonn (LAB) HI survey is the world's first Atlas of Galactic Neutral Hydrogen (1989-2005). This is an overlay of the maximum levels across all dataset layers resulting in more visible clouds. Used as alpha channel for a doppler color simulation (ivo://CAMRAS/P/LABHI/RGBA, https://data.camras.nl/hips/labh/doppler_colors_rgba/). Published separately in addition to ivo://ov-gso/P/LAB (http://alaskybis.u-strasbg.fr/IRAP/ov-gso_P_LAB), which shows a normalized average resulting in a single ring shape. The original dataset holds HI cloud speeds from -460 km/s to +460 km/s. This HiPS shows speeds from -257 km/s to +372 km/s. The original dataset was largely captured with the Dwingeloo Radio Telescoop (RT), which is now a national monument managed by https://camras.nl. The RT is open for visits and demonstrations.
