obs_description      = All-sky timelapse of Fermi Large Area Telescope (LAT) photon intensity in 6-hour time bins. Pass 8 SOURCE-class events (evclass=128), including FRONT and BACK conversions (evtype=3), are selected between 300 MeV and 500 GeV with a maximum zenith angle of 90 deg. Good time intervals require DATA_QUAL>0 and LAT_CONFIG==1. Exposure is computed with the Fermitools using the P8R3_SOURCE_V3 instrument response functions. For each time bin, counts and exposure are evaluated in 16 logarithmic energy bins and converted to photon intensity using the pixel solid angle; the resulting intensities are summed over energy. Pixels with an exposure below 1% of the median positive exposure in an energy bin are excluded. No additional spatial smoothing is applied to this intensity product.
