The primary scientific objective is to providing reference images for the identification of the optical counterparts of gravitational wave events and study kilonovae. The KS4 Data Release 1 (DR1) covers approximately 4,044 deg² of the southern sky using traditional Johnson-Cousins B, V, R, and I broadband filters. The data were collected between November 2019 and December 2023, reaching a 5-sigma depth of 22.1-22.8 mag. The release includes over 977 deep co-added images, photometric source catalogs for more than 230 million objects, and Hierarchical Progressive Survey data for interactive visualization. obs_ack = This work was supported by the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) through grants No. 2020R1A2C3011091 and No. 2021M3F7A1084525, funded by the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT). It also received support from the Basic Science Research Program via the NRF, funded by the Ministry of Education (RS-2023-00245013). This research has made use of the KMTNet system operated by the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) at three host sites of CTIO in Chile, SAAO in South Africa, and SSO in Australia. Data transfer from the host site to KASI was supported by the Korea Research Environment Open NETwork (KREONET). prov_progenitor = The original data were collected as part of the KMTNet Synoptic Survey of Southern Sky (KS4), using the Korea Microlensing Telescope Network (KMTNet) system operated by the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI). # To be provided upon submission of the KS4 DR1 paper to JKAS in late August and subsequent publication. #bib_reference = # To be provided upon publication. #bib_reference_url = obs_copyright = (c) SNU obs_copyright_url = https://astron.snu.ac.kr/en/ t_min = 58816.8025 t_max = 60299.1718 obs_regime = Optical em_min = 7.2878e-7 em_max = 8.7939e-7 client_category = Image/Optical/KS4/DR1 hips_initial_ra = 181.22104 hips_initial_dec = -43.73164 hips_initial_fov = 0.16 hips_builder = Aladin/HipsGen v12.060 hips_version = 1.4 hips_frame = equatorial hips_order = 10 hips_order_min = 0 hips_tile_width = 512 #hips_service_url = ex: http://yourHipsServer/KS4 DR1 I hips_status = public master clonableOnce hips_pixel_scale = 1.118E-4 s_pixel_scale = 1.111E-4 dataproduct_type = image dataproduct_subtype = live hips_pixel_bitpix = -32 data_pixel_bitpix = -32 hips_sampling = bilinear hips_overlay = overlayMean mergeOverwriteTile treeMean hips_release_date = 2025-05-15T01:03Z hips_tile_format = png fits hips_pixel_cut = 0.285 2331 hips_data_range = -27827 81847 moc_sky_fraction = 0.09802 hipsgen_date = 2025-05-14T14:36Z hipsgen_params = -trim in=DR1_I out=KS4HiPS_I id=SNU/P/KS4/DR1/I maxthread=35 "pixelCut=0.285 2331 asinh" mode=overlayMean blank=0 order=10 incremental=true hips_creation_date = 2025-05-14T14:36Z hips_estsize = 3104091037 hips_nb_tiles = 4547487 hips_check_code = png:2102694049 fits:1211529230 hipsgen_date_1 = 2025-07-25T10:59Z hipsgen_params_1 = in=http://qso.snu.ac.kr:8180/media/DR1/HiPS/KS4HiPS_I MIRROR
